Figuring it all out

January 2, 2011 (with pictures from December 25, 2010-January 1, 2011)

When I got my new camera for Christmas, I promised Tim that I would figure out how to work it and then blog about it. After looking at the insane number of buttons and dials and thingy maggiys on the camera, I can easily say that there is no way I will be able to figure it out and blog about it in one entry :) So, I'll just write about it as I go....

Okay...so, what I've learned so far...automatic settings! :) Ha. On the setting dial, there are 11 different options. Of those, there are 7 automatic settings: automatic, automatic no flash, portrait, landscape, macro (close up), sports/action, and night scene. Whew....

I've played with half of the automatic buttons. Bottom line, the camera is awe-some! I love it. I love the sound of the shutter snapping shut. I love looking through the view finder like a "real" photographer. I love spinning the dials and acting like I have a clue what I am doing :)

As I start to actually understand what in the world I am messing with when I touch buttons on the camera, I'll fill you in. In the mean time...here are some of the first pictures I've taken with my new Nikon D90....:)
