The picture I am posting today is of one of my dogs, Mya. She's a Great Dane that I rescued from the Humane Society...she's probably the best dog I've ever had. I love her dearly. The interesting thing about love that I have discovered from my relationship with Austin, is that as you grow to love someone, you also grow to love the things they love. I have spent more time watching baseball in the past few months than I have my entire life. And I enjoy it because I'm doing it with him and because his passion for the sport is contagious...and Austin has learned to tolerate (maybe even LIKE ;)) my dogs. You'd have to really know Austin to understand what a big deal this is. Austin is not a dog person. He's not really a pet person in general. But I've watched him warm up to my puppers to the point where he even dog sat for me when I was out of town in February (huge step! :)). It will be interesting to see how things change after we're married and they become his dogs too. He gave me a flyer about obedience classes at PetCo the other day. I guess that means he's starting to take some ownership right?...it's a step in the right direction I guess :)
